WHO WANTS TO COME

Dear All,
I will be going to our orphanage from August 21st to 31st in West Timor , Nusa Tenggara Province , Indonesia. A very peaceful place and lots of fresh air .
First of all I am assure you that we can dump all the stresses from our day to day life in this modern society .
There are a lot to do and lots of useful activities that can be done for the people who are in really need to be helped upon improving their living condition.
The orphanage will officially open the library which my wife and I have built it some 6 months ago. You may help out on arranging the books , especially if you are a librarian ( which I am not). Any input about how to run it or how to display books will be greatly appreciated . For this library TRF( The Rotary Foundation) has awarded us through the Matching Grant scheme some months ago some funding for us to by books and other equipments worth 11 150 USD .
During my last visit , our Singaporean friends ( a lovely couple) Amy and Chris were helping us to paint and wrote the library’s name ( “Bolelebo Library”). If you have the passion on teaching some basic computer to the children , you are more than welcome.
If you are having the license to drive a mini bus ( 16 seater) , you may help us to drive the bus which is actually our first and second mobile library. The second library was purchased through another Matching Grant from TRF last year. we are having two mobile libraries , one is painted red and the second one is yellow ( with Rotary name being written on it’s side).

During this visit also , I will inspect the two new building that my wife and I have built . One is a new class room ( 8 by 10 meters) and a new shelter for the orphanage’s children ( 8 by 24 meters). The class room is almost finished ( just the tiles and final touch of the wall) while the new shelter will be ready in some 6 to 8 weeks time. The skill labors are difficult and all are being done manually . Even to bend or cut the steel ( for making the pillars) were done manually. No cement mixer but our hands, no water to mix the cement other than we are buying the water daily from a water truck ( at least we need 5000 liters of water per day).
If you are good with building matters , may be you can help us on some electricity cable installations , painting the wall , placing the furniture and fixture accordingly and many other things. Please do not worry for not being able to find some thing to do.
If you are good with nursery plants , you can help us by teaching us about the fertilizer and vitamins for the flower plants. For our fruit plants we are using the cow dunks and humus to make the soil fertile. If you are good with cooking , you can cook the orphanage’s meals .
If you are good with farming , yo can help us to design and manage our future farm which designated to be able to finance the orphanage when I am retired ( in 9 years time) . Please help me with input about a good plans.
As for me , I am intending to plant teak wood at the outer part ( as fence) , the immediate inner side will be a type of mango which is good for that area and the inner part will be cashew nut. The teak wood can be harvest it in 15 years or more, the mango can give us fruits after some 3 or 4 years time while the cashew nut is around 4 years onwards. The land is around 10 hectares ( 100 000 M2) .There is another land which I am dreaming about making it into a special village where we can do things properly way and enabling us to help people with so many skills ( both vocational and formal). I hope that some day some how we can make it to happen and we can really lifting the Humanity Flag highest and all the efforts being respected by All.
If you can not make this August, yo may come with us in March next year where we will be going there with some 30 ITE of Singapore students . Or any time at all even though I am not there as my wife will be there for most of the time.
