the children at the orphange must be so blessed to have you and your wife Peggy to come into their lives and help them the way you have done so lovingly out of your heart. I would like to contribute a small part of my own to your effort. Kindly please advise what is needed in the orphange and school so that I can gather as much as possible. Please also advise what is the best way to send the donations and/ or toys/ clothes, etc to and who I should send it to (i.e attention to who).

Your story has truly moved me as well. Looking back at my own childhood, it is stories like this that make me realize how blessed I was. I heard about your work and dedication from a CNN broadcast on the Roslin Orphanage. I have emailed you via the website and would really like to talk to you soon about the possibly of me volunteering at the orphanage sometime in November.

I study both journalism and sociology at American University in Washington, D.C. This semester I am on exchange at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. It has always been a dream of mine to volunteer at an orphanage, and your story has moved me to try and make that dream a reality.

I have plenty of childcare and teaching experience. I have worked at a licensed daycare in New York for the past three years as a teacher’s aide and camp counselor.

I’m also involved with a non-profit organization at American University called Nourish International, which funds sustainable development programs overseas. I would like to see what my organization could do for you and your team.

A friend that I have met from Australia is also interested in joining me in this trip. She’s in her third year in occupational therapy, and she has a real desire to help in regions where people are less fortunate.

Friday I saw the CNN story. Today I projected the newstory in both churches that I am pastor at in Northern Illinois with the United Methodist Church. I was using your story to illustrate the sermon I was sharing about putting faith into action from James 1 & 2. Last week I spoke about taking care of orphans and this week about putting faith into practice. Your story was the perfect sermon illustration on our Labor Day weekend to demonstrate how someone takes their vocation in life and then invests their bounty in giving to the least and the lost in very practical service ministry.
