WE ARE NOT HEROES BUT WE JUST WANT TO SHARE OUR BLESSINGS
Sep 4th, 2009 by CaptainB
Well it is so excited to wait for the program to be broadcast in 10 minutes time . Peggy and I are over whelmed by the title as Heroes. It is really too big and too heavy for us to use it or attached it to our activities. We are just an ordinary people who want to share what we are blessed with. Like this morning when we are waking up we are feel so blessed with the fact that we are being given the chance to enjoy the new day with a good health and good breakfast.
what we are doing and reaching the stage as we are now is also because of the help of friends for their prayers, their physical help, their thoughts and ideas and as well as the financial help that from time time people are blessing us. So if the word hero is mentioned it should be for every one who are participating upon doing our activities. To that we are so grateful and treasure it forever. Our friendship has made us as if we are closer to be called as siblings. If some of you are reading the orphanage’s blog we are recently being visited by friends from as far as North America where by some of them were only staying for just short period of time. The air fare to come to our place is not that cheap but somehow they came. To this we really thankful to the Vanderpol family who came in April and July this year, 150 Korean friends from New York and my pastor friend Rene Sahir who came all the way from Vancouver and New York to which some of you were only staying for less than one day. It is the same appreciation for those who came from the closer distances your visit were also involving so much efforts and sacrifices too. Thank you to all brothers , sisters and friends, all of you are the real heroes to the Roslin Orphanage children as well as the children who are getting some help through the orphanage.
As far as the IT matter is concerned I must say that I am having two heroes to my self . They are bro DR Tanone and bro Erik Tilt as well as sis Yumi Tilt whom I can get the knowledge of doing our own website and blogging. Special thanks to you All. Without your involvement we will not be able to share our progresses and the future planning of our activities.
A special thanks to the ” Angel” who has been financing Gerson to study at the medical school since some 18 months ago. It is a good lesson for myself to learn about his values and keeping himself as an anonymous person.
Special thanks to the FCAP, Singapore, for the support for all these years. FCAP is Felllowship of Christian Airlines Personnel.
The last thing that I want to say is “ Life is good and We are glad to be in it”
Have a blessed day to all, always
I am inspired and deeply moved by your story and what you have done to positively impact the lives of so many. I pray that you will have the good fortune to continue to do this great work. Thank you.
I have gone back and looked through some of your older posts and I am overwhelmed by the love you have for these children and the devotion and blessing you pour out on their behalf! I am so thankful that I found your blog! Children like this pull at my heart strings! I have no children of my own (I am unable) and seeing these pictures makes me want to adopt as many as I can! Praise God for your faithfulness, love, and service!!
Your story has made me cry with shame at how I get upset at the things in my life that upset me. I always have food and clothes and a nice home, and you have done so much for these children. Thank you for being there and praise to God for His provision for you.
My sister just sent me the Heroes article and video. In her closing statement, she said that she needs to start attending church again.
My husband and I are certified to adopt so your story really touches my heart. I know how much you love all of them as your own. Are these children waiting to be adopted?
Thank you,
Heather

Budi
Hi Thank you for the kind word
All of us have our shortcomings.
We can only try to do our best .

Dear Budi and orphanage workers and residents,
Friday I saw the CNN story. Today I projected the newstory in both churches that I am pastor at in Northern Illinois with the United Methodist Church. I was using your story to illustrate the sermon I was sharing about putting faith into action from James 1 & 2. Last week I spoke about taking care of orphans and this week about putting faith into practice. Your story was the perfect sermon illustration on our Labor Day weekend to demonstrate how someone takes their vocation in life and then invests their bounty in giving to the least and the lost in very practical service ministry. God bless you Budi and your many workers there in Indonesia!

Hi Budi,
Your story has truly moved me as well. Looking back at my own childhood, it is stories like this that make me realize how blessed I was. I heard about your work and dedication from a CNN broadcast on the Roslin Orphanage. I have emailed you via the website and would really like to talk to you soon about the possibly of me volunteering at the orphanage sometime in November.
I study both journalism and sociology at American University in Washington, D.C. This semester I am on exchange at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. It has always been a dream of mine to volunteer at an orphanage, and your story has moved me to try and make that dream a reality.
I have plenty of childcare and teaching experience. I have worked at a licensed daycare in New York for the past three years as a teacher’s aide and camp counselor.
I’m also involved with a non-profit organization at American University called Nourish International, which funds sustainable development programs overseas. I would like to see what my organization could do for you and your team.
A friend that I have met from Australia is also interested in joining me in this trip. She’s in her third year in occupational therapy, and she has a real desire to help in regions where people are less fortunate.
I wish you the best of luck in the future, and I hope to hear from you soon. And thank you for doing all that you can for the world.
Cheers,
Jack (email: JWein2007@yahoo.com)
Hi Captain B,
the children at the orphange must be so blessed to have you and your wife Peggy to come into their lives and help them the way you have done so lovingly out of your heart. I would like to contribute a small part of my own to your effort. Kindly please advise what is needed in the orphange and school so that I can gather as much as possible. Please also advise what is the best way to send the donations and/ or toys/ clothes, etc to and who I should send it to (i.e attention to who).
Plus, I do sincerely hope you will be able to find another job so that you can continue to do what you love best.
Thank you and God bless you and Peggy

Dear Rev Brian LeBaron
Thank you for making us feel useful . We are feel so privilege . To us we are just witnessing what has been written being made into reality ( see Isaiah 58 : 10-11 and Isaiah 64:25). so accurate and so true for all these years.
As of our situation about the job it is Romans 8: 28 but if we are practicing Roams 8: 31 we shall not be worry as He is always doing things accordingly , timely and never short of the requirement. Shalom Alehem
