Oct 11th, 2007 by CaptainB
Dear All,
Greetings from New York . It is 6 27 am here and the weather is getting colder now. I am still here for the next two days but my mind is already full of activities that I have planned to do it at the orphanage right from the moment I am arriving there ( which is the October 15th and I will be there till the 21st). On this trip I will escorted by one of our fellow pilot’s dad. Like the father like son , Paul Chen and his dad ( Patrick Chen, 69) are great persons to be with. He is planning to spend his time with the children over there while enjoying the fresh air. Mr Chen is currently in New York with me exploring the city and will be returning together and going to the orphanage with me as well.

One of the joyful thought that I am having is “God’s gift” solution to our future farm ( 40 km north of our orphanage). It was another miracle indeed that the solution was given right when we were so desperate for it. Peggy and I have been praying about it while we were choosing some spots where we will digging up or drilling for water. One day Peggy was asking some people who are doing this drilling work for water , she brought them to the farm and to drill the water at our first choice of place . She was asking the people to pray together with her before the drilling was started. The Lord was allowing us to struck water at only 29 meters . We didn’t struck a common water source but we struck an Artesian . Can you imagine that now we are having a water source that the water will be continuously flowing all year long without any water pump to bring the water to the surface ? Indeed it was another miracle given to us on that day . The people said that usually they will get the water at around 45 meters depth but we struck this great artesian at only 29 meters. Please share our joy .
Preparation has been done before I left Singapore for this New York trip, Some books from Ros Schoolhouse had been sent even few days before my departure to this New York trip. We are having the luxury of having enough baby and children clothing to bring. Thank you to the Singapore Motherhood Forum upon their help on colecting them and bringing them to our place . Thank you sis Esther, Sis Lay kean, sis Karen , sis Irene ,sis Cathleen and many more of you whom I can not remember in this cold morning in New York ( ha ha ha ) .

When I reached Singapore , basically I will be doing some final packing and off to the airport again and to depart to Jakarta . I will be spending the evening at jakarta ( resting after such a long day which started from New York) then the next day I will be departing for Timor . While In Jakarta , I will be doing some other preparation too that is to make sure that all of the books can be sent over too while I am in Timor. I am sure it will be a great trip , especially with your prayers and my pillars.
