can not go through as the road has been eroded by the previous rain

As it has been stated before that education is the most important gift that we can give to the children and any one else , we are trying our best on doing so by bringing books to the village people who couldn’t reach our library at the orphanage. During this time of the year it is not so easy to drive around the villages .Some road can be damaged during our next visit to a particular village and some time is was impossible to continue going to a planned village’s visit. This has been because of the heavy rain in this area , from the month of November to end of February. There were times that we must aborted the trip as the road became so bad and can not be driven through. On one occasion we were stuck at one village because of the slight rain which fallen after we reached a village , because of the muddy and a clay type of soil that we have to go through simply can not be penetrated . We were stuck on that village till the next day . Instead of planning to stay at Bokong village of 5 hours , we were end up staying till the next day . Only after with the help of some 30 villagers , we were able to go back home. The villagers are appreciating our efforts on bringing the books to their village and they were pushing our car ( the mobile library ) without expecting anything in return. It was some 1.2 km of car pushing . village. It is a happy moment for us if we can reach the destination and able to give some chance for them to see what out there out side their village .

Bringing books alone is not as effective as if we are not able to bring their interest about a brighter future. Some of them were not so keen to learn when we were just arrived but after giving them some motivation about life and things in the real world , we were able to change their attitude about learning further. To so many girls at villages they are still having a thought that studying is just for the man and not for the female or woman . The opinion of the woman being end up in the kitchen is still in the majority of the village’s woman’s thoughts. So it is not by bringing books or making a library to solve the wrong opinion about woman but we need to armor our self with some motivational speeches and some facts about life and living in this modern era. For the village people some time their highest goal is only getting married, having kids, having a motor cycle , to be a teacher or working for public ( government). Basically entrepreneurship is not existing in the majority’s thoughts. The fights to improve their living condition or living in the healthier environments is beyond their way of thinking. I have been trying to explain that they need to make sure that they should not have any standing water to prevent a mosquito breeding ground but so far it seemed to be having a very little impact on their way of thinking. Some people are still thinking that a Malaria sickness is actually some one was putting a magic spell to others so that people are having the sickness. It is sad that in this modern world , some people still having no access about this knowledge about malaria thing. So people may be only know that Malaria mosquito is causing Malaria only which actually will cause also a Hydrocephalus sicknesses as well. Another thing that people do not know is the danger of having a cat’s dunk in their house . A dangerous parasite can grow well in cat’s dunk and can cause woman not to be able to conceive a baby . I am not sure the name of the bed or bacteria which living in the cat’s dunk but later if I get it I will up date this blog. It is quite common for the village people to have cats and having the cat’s dunk under their bed ( where the floor is unpaved and soil). It is very hard to tell them about TB and many other things unless if we want to help them to understand the knowledge about it. For example we must not have a damped surfaces inside the house because of the potential TB ( Tuberculosis ) breeding ground and many other illnesses too. Spitting on the ground especially in their floor or their house is not good and should be stopped.
