Having enough of clothes is really a huge help to us as this is the rainy season. We are so lucky that the children are able to wear dry clothes whenever they need them. For the last few days the rain just pouring non stop and not enough of sunshine to dry up the clothes.
The sad part that is still be there is the clean water for the people to drink and cook. even though they are having plenty of water , they are still facing difficulties on getting clean water. The usual well ( is there is one) will be muddy or polluted buy the dirt. The well quantity will be great ( a lot) but the water is not clean enough to be used. They must keep it for quite some time until all the dirt is settling down at the bottom then they can use it ( must be boiled) .
Just spoke to Peggy that may be it will be good if we can have a big storage of the rain water. The rain water is always dissipating fast as the soil can not hold the water for long ( if you remember it , the island is made of coral, so the water will either go to the sea quickly or went down deeply under the ground surface. May be it will be a good project for us to do and who knows it can be done during the next rainy season.

At the moment the orphanage is building the storage rooms for the equipments and for the rice that is still in the husks. we have done the major part but we are not done with the roof yet. When the storage rooms are done , we will have a lot of space for the children which are growing and growing.
As for the girl’s dorm , we are still hoping that we can start building it in 3rd week or 4th week of March ( after the rainy season is over). I will be there by April 10th , together with us will be some special friends from Vancouver . Do join us if you can , some pilot friend will be there as well . All of them have booked their tickets already ( except me ha ha ha ha ha ).
The Vanderpol family will visit us from April 10th .
