Roslin Orphanage Blog

Our effort to provide clean water for the orphanage and the people surrounding the orphanage is in progress. We have some strong  responds from our dear friends and people who are knowing the importance of clean water towards a healthy living. To have enough clean water will be a heaven like for the people who hasn’t been having enough of it for their entire life. At have the location where our orphanage is , it is so difficult to get clean water . Even just to have water ( any water/ dirty water) is also difficult . The people have no choice of water that they are using or consuming it . It is proven that the water that they are consuming is having a high degree of chlorine and iron. Some weeks ago I brought back the water sample and to have it checked. My friend Philip Wee did the test and found out about it. He ( bro Phillip)was initially wanted to donate a water filter to the orphanage but after the finding about the water sample that I brought from the orphanage’s location , he said that the filter will be clogging at no time , thus the filter life span will be very short and making the effort not feasible . Based on this finding the orphanage must change right away on buying the water that we are consuming ( from a further distance water source which costing us more ).  This water truck as seen on the picture was the water truck which suplying our orphanage . It is the similar water truck that we are planning to have .  So far from the intended USD 22 000 plus the transportation of 9 800 000 Rupiah ,we have already collected almost USD 8000. This amount was collected from friends as far as from Seattle ( Indonesian Students of University of Washington, USA ), from friends in Singapore , from Jakarta and many more friends which wanting other people to have a clean water access for their life.  It will be a great day if we can have our need in clean water  need fulfilled and more joy if we can also extend the happiness to the people surrouding us.
