our precious library

Praise The Lord for the library that has been progressing well and getting better and better. From this library we are hoping that one day we will be having some of the orphans and the neighboring children will be able to get a good great in their schooling and finally able to reach a much higher goals in life.

The library is for All who wants to improve them selves. I wish that I was having more time to spend there as there are so many things to be done . At the moment we are having the class room of 10 x 6 meters and 4 x 6 meters rooms for the library purposes. One of them also being used as the class room as well as the computer room. In the future we will be needing to separate them as class rooms and separate room for the library. One library room is more for general public needs and the other one is more for the students.

On this recent trip we are having a mighty gift from bro David Eliathambi and bro Leo Willems in the form of 4 brand new computers which programmed to be able to be operated based from two servers. Praise The Lord for this precious gifts. I hope that at no time the students will be able to improve them self with the computer skills. The process of installing was a learning experience for me as I do not know how to install a computer from scratch before. As soon as the computer were installed , bro Leo let the children playing the very educational programs. It is a surprising that the children can do it so fast and at the same time learning the matter at no time ( I wish that I can do the same like them ha ha ha ).

Our library has a new look since bro Daniel an Hux came decorate the room together with so many educational posters and making the book shelves covered with a clear plastic sheets. This plastic cover will prevent the dust destroying the books . The dry season has been so dry and dust can also entering your sealed bed room. During the dry season beside the dust is being severe , also the wind usually blowing very strongly . It is the effect of the southern (Australian) winter.

In this library we can also watch educational video or movie together as we are having a proper LCD projector and proper speakers too. While I was there we played the ” show of Easter ” which I watched it life at the Crystal cathedral in Los Angeles. It was an appropriate time as it was during the recent Easter celebration. Easter is a big thing in Kupang , it can be a week of celebration . Parades were perform on the city’s streets. Any of you who are having a good video or educational show that you want to share with us are welcome. Either to lend it to us or just playing it together with us.

All are welcome to utilize the library as long as :

1 washing the hands before taking the book(s)

2 leaving the bag(s) and jacket(s) out side the library

3 returning the book(s) to the care taker or the assigned person

4 helping to maintain the place neat and clean
