Roslin Orphanage Blog

March will be a very busy month for Roslin Orphanage. It is meant to be the month when we are planning to open our new farm for the banana. Until now we are unable to secure the required man power upon doing the land clearing for the banana farm. We hope that we will get the help soon. Most of the farmer are still doing their own thing at their own farm.

This month we will be having some 19 brothers and sisters from Singapore with us . It is a retreat trip for the family which is so much different with their other family holiday. On this trip there will not be a shopping day except for food and some basic purchase for a day to day need. We are hoping that we will be fun and at the same time enriched from each other as we will be some sort of sharing sessions everyday.

It has been busy days for Peggy for preparing the arrival of the group and even more as since 3 days ago the orphanage is richer by one more new baby . It is a premature baby of which at the age of 2 months the baby is only 1,9 kg on its weight. Peggy is always been the care taker for each new babies so that we are sure the baby is being taken care properly. Only after some 5 months Peggy will delegate the duty to take care the new baby to our assistance.

I shall be on my way there on the 15th from Jakarta, anyone wants to join us please do so. One thing can be guaranteed is our ability to give you fresh air to breathe ha ha ha . It is so easy to get there now as we can choose flights which is 8 flights a day from Jakarta. From 5 30 am to 5 pm departures.

I shall update our activities when I am coming back from there.
