Peggy has been operated and it was a successful operation indeed. It was started at 14 30 to 17 30 pm on March 17th. It was handled by our dear Prof Colin Song at Singapore General Hospital. Peggy was so stable all night after the surgery where her temperature was around 36,4 C to 36,6 C through out. Not much of bleeding and recovering fast. The only thing that was significant was the colour of her face was keep on changing from yellow , pale , some blueish colour , purple , black , purple and now she is having the healthy pinkish colour. It will be a fast recovery for sure. She is at home now and she has been resting , eating food and  eating the medicine timely.

This operation can not be done earlier because the doctor must wait until her skin is fully stable. Peggy has been waited for this operation because she has been breathing from one side of her nostril since the accident in Oct 2007. Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes.  Peggy will be having her operation at Singapore General Hospital tomorrow afternoon at 14 00 pm .  It will be a successful operation and God Him self will be performing the operation through the doctor’s hands. A speedy recovery will surely follow through. Tomorrow’s  successful operation is  because of your prayers . Thank you again for your prayers. Because of your prayers ,Peggy and I feeling easy and relax . Every one has been praying and we have already surrendering things to The Lord. This operation has been waited since the accident in Oct 2007 when she was traveling in  the car after doing the hard work at the farm for the whole day . For more than  a year Peggy has been breathing only from one side of her nostril only.  It is almost 3 am , Peggy  is now resting and fasting until the operation is done. Before she is fasting we had a great dinner together with some of our special friends Alex Chee, pak Oetojo , sis Rosemary and our son Christian  ha ha ha . It was a great dinner indeed.A simple dinner but we were having such a great quality time.

Tomorrow I will sleeping at the hospital with her , I hope that I will be able to help her in whatever she needs.

our dry and an unproductive farm without water

a productive land . we will make our land to be same

It was only a wild idea and beyond our imagination that the dry and an unproductive land can be transformed into a farm land. This idea has been Peggy’s and mine for so long . Who could have imagine that our wild idea has been initiated to be changed into a reality. The dry land that we bought has been given ” heaven sent” water in the form of artesian well which never stops all year round. The flow is managed for not to be too big but it flows continuously. With a slow but continues flow we are already able to change the dry land into a land which already started since yesterday ( Monday 27th 2007)   to plan our own paddy and corn. It means if every thing goes well , we can eat our own rice in 3,5 months time. Looking at the two pictures above , we surely have a long winding road to make our dream into reality. Having the water is not all that we need but a constant nurturing , fertilizing, getting rid off the grass and other plants which disturbing the rice to grow well and many other things are required to change our dry and an unproductive land into a farm which we can grow rice or others. It is only a hard work that we have to do now , ” no more water problem ” . It should be no problem. We hope that we can show you our own reaped paddy ( rice) in 3,5 months time. At the same time we should be able to have our own “Kang Kong ” or water spinach .

If we work hard enough we will be able to get what we want to achieve in life .

It was so great to see Edu trying to look after Alexandro while Peggy is away . Seeing this picture is making me and Peggy so happy. With happy feelings Peggy will be fully recover even faster. Edu was said to try his best to tell the little 4 month Alexandro about pak Budi’s plane when it is flying on the sky. Thank you Edu for entertaining Alexandro and making him to learn how the plane fly. Who knows that one day , one of the orphan will be able to become a pilot too ha ha ha .

While resting in Singapore we are always monitoring the progress of the orphanage by phone every day. Peggy’s dad ( Cornelis) has reported that the children’s interest to learn is getting better especially if we are bringing them into a play . Their English is getting better too by days, Praise The Lord. He teaches the children 20 minutes , twice a day .

The class room’s floor has been completed and the bigger shelter is having half of the floor done ( while the roof / ceiling is 100% completed ). I will up date this entry with photos after I am getting them . It has been slow progress but we are progressing forward every day.

The mangoes are plenty and the rain has been coming for the last 2 weeks, the have started with planting corn at the orphanage’s ground as well as the other location near the orphanage . Please come in March if you want to participate on harvesting the corn, peanut and others. For Mango we can have the harvest in December already .

It has been your kindness , attention and tender loving care that have been needed most at the orphanage especially for the young ones ( under 5 years old) . Uncle Patrick Chen was making kites for the children when he was there. He was also playing with the children a lot. The orphans never get enough of him .
