Thank you for the water truck gift

On the previous entry I have written about a miracle that has happened during an unplanned dinner in the form on the water tank that we need to be installed to the water truck chassis that we have ordered was given by pak Oetoyo . Few days later while I was in New York , a special friend has e mailed me from Hong Kong and saying that she can not wait to send the money that she and her friends have raised for the orphanage’s water truck. She said that we do not have to pay the balance for the car ( water truck) that we were planning to pay it with installments in 3 years time. She said that they have raised enough to pay the balance to the amount that has been paid. She asked me the orphanage’s account number , the Swift code and the other detail about it . My dear friend has made donation in the form of auction for few nights stay of some rooms at her resort in Bali . Each room will be around 1500 USD per day at the usual rate . Also another friend has donated 3 special bottles of champagne for the same reason. During the gathering among great friends in Hong Kong on Sept 22nd they have raised more than 10 000 USD thus will be enough to pay up the balance of the water truck payment . The money should be on its way in few days time ( may be early next week) . Praise The Lord, not only we do not have to pay the balance in 3 years but also we will be getting one of the most essential needs for any human being . Clean water has been our main problem for years. Especially in from the month of March to November where the rain is never falling during that period. With having water our sanitation will be better , the orphanage will be having plants with leaves because will be watered adequately thus will be able to dampened dust and may be even air borne bacteria and we can build some water storages within the orphanage compound . We will also build a toilet and its water storage out side the orphanage’s compound for the villagers to get some free clean water from us too. This will be right next to our library which is at the front part of the orphanage ground.

This particular gift means a lot to us , this is the most important physical gift that you can possibly give to human being ( which is clean water supply) . With having enough clean water we will surely live healthily and the plants will be able to be watered adequately thus a better harvest can be obtained. We really appreciate it very much indeed.

We are hoping that in about 2 months time , the water truck will be completed on it’s assembly and will be able to provide us our precious clean water for the orphans. By next year , even during the dry season we do not have to worry about the water supply any more. Your gift has been a huge liberation for us.

The other miracle which also I want to share with you all was the way we sent our clothings and books that we have collected for quite some times and stored them at Jakarta. From a good friend we were recommended to ask his help upon sending the goods to Timor with his freight forwarder company. His head quarter is situated quite far from my place in Jakarta. From this freight forwarder we were asked to contact some one else which is located within the place where my house is situated. As we contacted the suggested freight forwarder , this company not only charging us some 15% less but also willing to come to our place , brought their scale to weight the goods and willing to bring the goods with their own car.

If we are using the first company , we could have been renting a truck our self and must bring the goods our self to the freight forwarder company. A total of 1470 kg of clothing, many books for the library and toys are currently on their way to the orphanage. We are hoping that they will be arriving in 5 days from now.

Things has been made simple for us. We thank you for the miracles that are keeps on happening. To God be The Glory .

our quality time among friends

Our last Saturday was a very happy evening , full of blessings and joyful moment among great friends.

For not having seen a tennis buddy for quite some time , I made a call to his home . He was out and his brother told me that he was out for a while. Few hours later my friend called me back and we were exchanging news as usual. It was towards our last conversation he invited me and my family to have a simple dinner together with our four other friends . We are all tennis and eating buddies . We went to a non formal dinner’s place for some simple ” yummy” fish and ” yummy” chilly crab. I brought a long my wife and my two children while my friends were 5 of them .

During the dinner while I wasn’t talking about our progress at the orphanage nor telling them that we have ordered a water truck chassis , out of no where one of my friend was asking me if I am needing a water tank at the orphanage. He was also telling us for some options too , its either 2500 liter size of 5000 liter one . He is giving away a new water tank for free at our choice in its size. This water tank has been what we wanted to have and to be installed onto the truck’s chassis that we have ordered a little earlier. We have been looking for the 5000 liters capacity too. I can not imagine how did it happen but it has happened , without even talking about our needs at the orphanage we were having some thing that is so wonderful during our simple and casual gathering ( and an unplanned gathering too).

This afternoon I made confirmation that the truck’s chassis and the water tank are well matched. What a miracle it is . The Lord has arrange every thing to be matched and nicely paired. We are hoping that we can have our water truck in less than 2 months , so the need of precious clean water can be fulfilled accordingly. Praise The Lord indeed. Soon not only our orphanage will be able to have enough water but also the orphanage’s neighbors too.

With this water tank gift , we need not to pay the full amount in 3 years time as what I have written on the previous entry. With His blessings we might be able to pay this water truck at no time at all.

Indeed a miracle can not be stopped .

It was a great gathering indeed last night at our place in Singapore. Last year 16 of Singaporean university students were making a trip to our orphanage and doing their school projects both inside the orphanage and out side. At the orphanage we did some educational matters with both the orphans and the school children of the villagers. Out side the orphanage we did some social activities such as making a cement floor for the villagers, trying to do some land clearing at our future farm ( to show them how hard to clear up a farm land with sharp thorny trees in it ), a tour to a spring water and a water fall (ecotourism trips) . It was a great experience for every one and a time that I personally can treasure it for life. The fellowship that we were having was great and the bonding is solid until this time. Terence and Pauline came with their home made cake, while Mr Chiam the chef came all the way from Melbourne. Mr Alex Chee came with his angel spirit which making the gathering so alive and happier. The children were swimming and having the freshly BBQ’ed food in between their breaks.We wish that we can do it again some time soon. We were having a simple BBQ night by the swimming pool last night. No music or anything fancy but our conversation were really making us so happy.

I shared the happy moment with my wife and she was envious when I told her what has been happening last night. Peggy is in Timor doing all the hard work for us , managing the orphanage as usual. We made a big change with our plan on how to build the rooms extention for the orphanage children. We are planning to build a 20×6 Meters room each for the boys and the girl beside the class room . The class room will be made smaller on its width, instead of 10×10, we will be building it as a 6×10 meters.

I will be going to the orphanage after arriving from my LA flight which is on April 8th. I will be there till the 30th. Any of you who are willing to come please let me know. At the moment I will be having our condominium’s manager Edward Lim with us for 1 week in Timor during my stay . Some more friends are still needing their confirmation for their leave and to be able to come with me next month.

The little orphans are progressing well with their English language training and their schooling matters. Time and care are what we have for them and it is up to them to excel well or not in school or any educational matters. With our constant guidance and care we are sure that we can do it.
