conducting the talk in a class room
It was a great day indeed for me to be able to visit and shared some of my past experiences with The Village Academy High School. I must say that the very first time my self and three other friends Rico Tindake , Dessy Adriani and Elizabeth Suwandi were amazed with the spotless and cleanness of the school building. The second one is the concept of the school where by all classes are having huge windows which enable us to see the class progresses. Indeed this school have given me an idea if I am going to build a school building soon.
One thing that so many other countries can only dream of is the fact that this school is so highly equipped where by each class room are having some 35 computers besides great dictionaries are also readily to be used on each table. There is no reason for the student to be failed if they are using all the facilities that are being provided to them. It was so great to see a huge poster right in front of Mr Stienman’s class . Its a poster made by a group of fantastic student Ms Vishra Patel and her friends which I called her as Captain Patel ( because she wants to be a pilot). Thank you for the fantastic piece of work that has been made for me. I can feel that my self and my 3 other friends are so much feeling at home because of your art work. Thank you very much.
The Poster was made by Ms Vishra Patel, Mansi Patel, Clarissa Contreras, Jennifer Rodriguez, and Uyi Ogbeiwi for me signed by all the class members .
Thank you to all of you .
It is so lucky that this school is having an outstanding teacher like Mr Michael Stienman and the other teacher. I can see that the school is well in order and so far what we were seeing are very polite students and courteousness are well being practiced by the students. It is a very happy thing to see that the school is not only able to conduct the teaching academically properly but the school is also able to teach values which being conducted properly by the students. I will definitely recommending to my friends to send their children to this wonderful school. Thank you to Mr Stienman for inviting us. Today Mr Michael Stienman is being invited to come to the White House. He is such an inspirational person.
It was a privilege for me to be given the chance to talk to the students of 3 different classes . It was such great audience and active one too upon participating the Q and A . It is a dynamic school and I am sure so many success students can be generated from this school. Basically I was sharing the importance of working with our best efforts regardless of the out come . Also the importance of starting to build a network so that in the future we will have a great network which will enable us to do things easier and creating an unlimited resources to what ever we are doing in the future. The sense of togetherness is very valid point to be known , which is the motto of Roslin Orphanage ( Togetherness is our strength). I will be more than happy to visit the wonderful school again in the future. At this occasion I was also able to share about Rotary International and Rotary activities around the globe like the polio eradication, literacy projects and clean water projects which is enhancing sanitation to human kind living conditions. The essence of my talk was ” There is no time to be wasted and to do best in school with the best effort by all of the students ” .

Budi, it was so great having you visit our school. Your words were greatly appreciated, and so helpful for the kids. They fell in love with you! Also, they are most interested in the welfare of your orphans, and many wish to join you somehow, and work at Roslin for a bit as volunteers. Looking forward greatly to seeing you again on the 21st, and wishing you the best of luck.
