A TESTIMONIAL FROM MRS JANET COLLINS
I have just spent 4 wonderful weeks at the Roslin Orphanage. I went not knowing what to expect or even what the place was like but I have to say that it was the highlight of my life. I was treated like an honoured guest by everyone, not only in the orphanage but everywhere I went. Not only did I play and interact with the children but I was included in so many other things such as going to the market early in the morning to buy tons of food that we later prepared, cooked and packed into individual containers and then took to one of the villages to distribute amongst the children.
Everywhere I went I found the people to be so very happy and polite and they went out of their way to make me feel at home. Peggy and Budi are the most amazing people and do far far more than they put on the web site. Peggy has a God given love for these children and goes out of her way to make life better not only for the children in the orphanage but to many many more outside in the general community. They always need help, either in person or via donations.
If you are thinking of going, don't hesitate, just do it, not only will you be welcomed with open arms but I can assure you that you will go home so much richer than when you went. It is an amazing place, the people are wonderful and Peggy and Budi are truly living the way more of us should live, that is by thinking of others far more than they think of themselves.
