A NEW PROGRAM IS WAITING FOR APPROVAL

I am currently the  President Elect of Rotary EClub3310 of Singapore, after serving different posts on the Board of Directors  and 2 periods as the vice president.

As a Rotary Club( Rotary EClub3310  of Singapore)  We have made 3 completed projects through the Matching Grant scheme , working with some clubs both in Singapore and abroad.  We have completed a mobile library program, a static or normal library program and the last one was a clean water project for another orphanage in this region. We are currently writing a proposal to The Rotary Foundation in Chicago about our "train the trainers" program. Together with 4 other clubs from Singapore ( Rotary Bukit Timah) , from Indonesia ( Rotary Club Kunthi) , from Brunei ( Rotary Club Belait and from Australia ( Rotary Club Armadale). It will be called as Matching Grant  #71103 . With the approval of The Rotary Foundation ( if it is approved) we will be conducting some classes on English with the teachers from Australia. It will be a continuous program to help out the  local people to master the English language better so that they can teach others better too.

We just submitted the last requirement and hoping that it will bet the approval soooooooon.

In Singapore we The Rotary Clubs  have done so many projects like the Avoidable Blindness program which giving free screening at at least more than 1000 people so far, Ultra Sound program for the less fortunate, My wish program to the terminally ill patience , The Rock It program which involving some 900 students  and for years we have been conducting RYLA program or Rotary Youth Leadership in Action.  We are now in the process of doing the RYLA program not just a local program but International RYLA.  Rotary is the main worker for THE WOLRD POLIO ERADICATION .  So far Rotary International together with WHO and others have eradicated Polio up to 99 % in the world. During my participation for the Rotary  International Conference in Los Angeles last year ,  Mr Bill Gates has donated more than 250 Million USD to Rotary International to completely finish up the job on Total Polio eradication in the world. More about Rotary International can be read from www.rotary.org

I hope that I can continue to participate on Rotary International activities .
