LIFE IS GOOD PLEASE BE IN IT AND STAY IN IT

What can we say if we are able to wake up in the morning and feeling so great , healthy and well rested ? Indeed we are Praising The Lord for the new day and for the new hopes too. It is surely a day for us to fill it up with some enhancements to improve our existence as well as for others. This morning I woke up healthy and so many things are already on the plans for today . I wish that we are having more than 24 hours a day. So much to tell about my recent trip to the orphanage and so much to share about what has been done, been with and the few steps in the near future. It was only few days ago I was at the orphanage with 20 special friends from Singapore of which we were having such a quality time through out. Here are the detail please stay happy ,stay healthy and keep on smiling. Life is beautiful and please be in it.

3 days of great fellowship with  20 friends from Singapore

The first group to depart on the 22nd of June were bro Amos, Sarah,Gabriel, Rachel,Jack,Dinali,Jiachiu, Weinen,Sam, Andre and Renette. They are from the FCBC (Faith Community Baptist Church) group and for bro Amos it was his 3rd trip to Roslin Orphanage.It was on June 23rd early morning when I went to the airport again to send off the second group of wonderful brothers and sister from the TMO of DBS Bank ( Development Bank of Singapore). So much of love and good intentions were brought along with group. The team was led by sis Serene Chong and Bro Mark Lee of which this trip to the orphanage was their 4th trip. The group consist of bro Mark Lee , sis Serene, bro Dany Juwono, bro Noel Jin,sis Jude Toh, Xin Ru Lin, bro James Lim , sis Sue Chen Chia and sis Jin Cheng Loong.

Activities with thye children was really making us so happy as the children are learning new things and able to have such a great quality time with the group. Praise The Lord for sending the groups to us and enhancing the children knowledge and confidence.

Having fun with them are routine thing whenever we canb with thye children. Also any activities which are educational.  Bro Amos and his group was able to performed few magic show of which the children were so amazed and wanting to learn the tricks. 

We are so thankful for the groups to arrived at the same time as the time we want to have more helping hands to do our activities both at the orphanage and at the villages. On this period of time we have started to do the food ministry to some villages which are prone to be having difficulties on food and to some extend can also having famine if the rainfall is less than 3 months within the year. This year the rainfall is good enough for most of the village area but still few villages are not able to get enough harvest. The main factor for not being able to have enough harvest is the lacking of equipments. Only those who is able to use a tractor will be capable to work on more land area thus more products or harvest. For those who are doing the farming only based on their hands ( manually) will not be able to work on more land area thus less harvest.

in these picture our friends were making sure that the rice is clean from any dirts or small stones is any . The rice is from our own fields and after being milled we are separating the dirts or the husks before cooking it. The small and broken rice is good for feeding the chicken. We are so blessed that our rice is organic rice.  During this recent harvest we are so blessed with an abundant harvest of which we will be able to share it with the village children, Praise The Lord.

beside others , the main thing for us is to give the village children protein in the form of eggs and soup. The villagers may be they have eggs but usually they will not eat the eggs that laid by their chicken but they will sell it to the market in order to buy some basic house hold items such as sugar, salt, soap, kerozine for their lamps etc.

The children at the village were waiting for us to come. The were dressed up with their best clothes. This is one of the place where we have been sharing the children clothes.

At the lake    

It was a day for a picnic with the orphanage children, even though not all of the children but those who are already schooling it was a great picnic as currently is their school holiday. We chartered an additional bus so that most of us can go for the picnic. We went to a lake of which even for the locals are still unknown to them. After some 1 hour trip we reach the lake of which a huge different to the typical places in Kupang area. This place has water and the trees are so green. To get there the road was not well paved and some of us called it as Indiana Jones driving. The fish are nothing but MILK FISH, a silvery colour and the size is about 25- 30 CM each. As we got there we start making the fire and to prepare the BBQ place. The person who is the owner of the place we ordered to catch the fish as we met them. Only in some 20 minutes later they came back with some 40-50 fish which are still wiggling. At the end total of 150 fish were BBQ'd for us . All were taking part on the cleaning and all preparations on the spot including making some "sambal"( chily souce) , to companied the fish eating. The sambal consist of fresh tomatoes, hot chilies . lime and sweet soy souce.  While waiting for the fish is done , the children were singing some songs which mostly they learnt them in their Sunday school. So much joy was generated by the trip and by the involvement of the group, Praise The Lord indeed.

At the beach

After the great fun and lunch at the lake we headed to the beach , seeing the sunset and later to see the stars  which were so beautifully existing above us. Countless stars and sometimes we were seeing shooting stars too. A big fire was made and we were having fun again at the beach. We were also finding out that the kermits and the small crabs were so drawn into the brightness from the fire that we made. The children were so exited to collect all the various kermits , small crabs ect while the adult were enjoying the sea breeze, the stars , singing and having some quality talks. Later the adults and the children were taking turns to sing and just to have fun together as much as we can.
