Our orphanage certainly needs those tender loving care and continuous guidance for their future until they can one day able to stand on their own.
During
our trips to Timor (a trip to the East Timor refugee's camps in 1999,
trips for the abandoned babies in West Timor in 2000 and 2001 and
a trip for the orphanage's set up and it's official opening), we found
so many joys returned to us and I found it so refreshing to our minds.
Living in a very modern society, is a living with so many modern equipments
are made for us to be able to live easier.
So many old jobs like washing, cleaning and cooking are being made
easier and easier with the help of new devices.
By going to our trips we were able to do things in the old ways; surely they needed more efforts and our patience to get them done. By looking at the rewards that we were getting (genuine smiles from the locals, the friendliness atmosphere and a great feeling being able to experience the old times back with us) from the work that we are doing, We found it that were not that hard to be done and the instant reward that we got could not be bought with money.
It was so wonderful feeling for knowing that we did something good
and being appreciated. More over the quality of the air that we did
breathe was free from pollution (being sweating and breathing in such
clean air is so healthy). Not so many of us are able to escape from
such a busy life style and being trapped in hectic kind of daily
Routines. By going to this place I am personally able to refresh my
self in the healthy and cheap way.
It
was so nice to be able to have our hands working on some things that
we have done it for along time (like harvesting peanut, green beans
and corns).
The fruits that we were consuming during our stays were rather healthy
as they grow wildly and no pesticides were involved (organic plants/non
genetically modified)
If you do like avocado, the best time to come is end of February till
end of March and at the same time guava is also in seasons.

As
of our works, we are doing our best to give the orphans our hearts
and cares by treating them as our own children.
Among our difficulties are getting people who are willing to work
with real affections to the orphans. If we can give the orphans good
examples about how we should conduct our life by leaving cleanly,
honestly and putting our heart into whatever we are doing, we will
be able to harvest good children with lots of potentials.
We would like to make this orphanage as a good breeding ground to
the children .By giving the orphans a better education; we would like
to make the orphans having more abilities to change their life and
others in the good way.
Any
of you who are willing to participate is welcome.
Any suggestion that can help us to run the orphanage better is welcome,
please pass the idea to us.
Have a blessed day always.
